Our STORY
Tim Riggs, Owner and Founder of Stinkin' Technology, was born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA. While he took a break to live in the midwest for a couple of years (Cincinnati, OH), he, his spouse, and his dog are now back in Virginia Beach.
Ever since his parents got his first computer (back in 1st grade) he's had an affinity for playing around. When he would break something, he would try hard to figure out how to get it back to a working state before his parents found out. This led to him becoming his family's go to "tech guy" from a very young age.
Tim studied Information Systems Technology at Regent University with a focus on Information Security. Tim has vast experience in positions from Technical Support, Systems Administration, Voice-Over-IP (VoIP) Security/Operations, Management, Software Engineering, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
On a weekend, he can often be found watching a movie, at the beach, at Busch Gardens, singing karaoke, spending time with his family, or volunteering for a non-profit.
Tim founded Stinkin' Technology back in 2014, with the goal of making technology less complicated for small to medium size businesses. We offer a variety of services, with a focus on Security (Cyber and Physical). IT budgeting and planning can be a nightmare for a small business owner, but Stinkin' helps make it more predictable.

Tim is a hard-working, team oriented person who is always striving for excellence. His impact on our team and Church is almost beyond measure. He always exceeded the high expectations placed on him in no matter what circumstances; in fact, it didn't matter if he was already an expert in the area or not. He always worked hard, brought new ideas and solutions to the table and succeeded.
